On top of Mt. Baden Powell. Look at that smile! Today was a milestone for JZ as he’s been on the trail for over 100 days now. 102 down, about 120 to go.

Current location vs Blog location
John here.
It is May 7 and I have hiked 369.5 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail and am currently in Wrightwood, CA getting 90 miles worth of food.
The blog is currently right around March 30, my second day in Mexico, when I was finally able to really handle going through the dusty and hectic cities.
The trail is glorious and I have been documenting it heavily. Although there is a very large delay between my finger triggering the shutter and my sister’s finger clicking publish, all the most remarkable moments will eventually make it onto this world wide web.
Happy trails

I was just kind of walking, and then I was like ‘what!’ It was just—I was in a different world. It was just crazy. I’d never been to Mexico before or any real foreign country. It was really overwhelming and I had no idea where I was going and I just knew that everybody had said how dangerous Tijuana was.”
4:38 “It was a pretty intense day. It’s pretty crazy to think that yesterday I was waking up in a downtown loft and then now I’m here. But as it gets to be more natural, it feels like home. Being outside among nature like I am right now—it’s easy to forget that you’re in Mexico and it’s just the world.”
